The Speed rating indicates the maximum speed at which a tire is certified to carry a load. Speed ratings range from A (lowest) to Z (highest), with one exception: the H rating falls between U and V. Q is the lowest rating commonly used for cars.

Load index can range from 0 to 279 and indicates how much weight a tire is certified to carry at max air pressure. To determine your tire's load carrying capacity refer to the load index chart.
