For Dunlop Tires, it pride started back in 1888 with a Scottish veterinarian named John Boyd Dunlop, the founding father and namesake of the Dunlop brand.

When he set those momentous 19th century events in motion, Dunlop was searching for a way to improve the performance and comfort of his son's bicycle. Something that would give it a smoother ride and better handling. He definitely succeeded, creating the first pneumatic tire, and a company that would later come to be known as Dunlop Tires.

To describe those events as "historic" is more than just an expression of pride. All who've worked with Dunlop Tires during the past century realize just how privileged they've been to be associated with a company that bears the name of a man who quite literally "changed the course of transportation."
